Q: How much do you charge?

A: We charge $95.00 per hour (one hour minimum) for the initial consultation on your project. Generally speaking, a first consultation can last from 1 – 2 hours or more depending on the scope of the project. Further consultations and design time is charged at $125.00 per hour. You will receive a packet from our office with our detailed fee schedules and a list of references.

Q: What is “design time”?

A: Design time is spent doing drawings, searching for items for your project, and most importantly, the design development – coming up with just the right ideas for you!

Q: What can I expect during my initial consultation?

A: We will discuss your project, including time frame for completion, and budget. This is also a good time to show all those pictures you’ve been clipping from magazines!

Q: What services can you provide?

A: Services vary by the project, but generally we provide help choosing appropriate colors, styles, furniture, lighting, flooring, accessories, and window treatments. We can also provide floor plans, elevations, and renderings. We have access to the latest product sources for everything in home furnishings and the trades people to do the job.

Q: Can you help me with just a small part of my project like color and fabric or do I have to hire you to do the whole job?

A: We are happy to provide you with any level of service you may need. Sometimes, your design dilemma can be completely solved in the initial consultation!

Q: Am I going to have to get rid of everything I already own?

A: NO! We are happy to work with items you love, incorporating them into a space you’ll love even more! We respect your ideas and encourage your participation in the design process.

Q: I’ve never worked with a designer before – what can I expect from you?

A: You can expect a high level of service! You will receive:

• Expert decorating advice.
• Amazing fabric, trim, and furniture choices.
• On–time appointments in your home or our office.
• Prompt return of your phone calls.
• Respect of you, your time, and your home.
• Accurate billing of time and products.

Q: Will I have to buy everything for my project through you or from you?

A: NO! If you have your own sources or professional trades people, we will be happy to use them. We are not in a position however, to instruct non–professionals or others not in our employ, on how to create the needed items for your project.

Q: How can I be sure that my design project will reflect my taste, my family, and my lifestyle – not the designer’s?

A: Good communication is key – we can’t do a great job without your input! We will ask lots of questions about the project, your needs, your family’s needs, and your lifestyle. The honest answers to these questions will lead to the very best, personalized, design for you!
